The first step you need to take is to rid your body of all the “toxins” that have built up from the foods you have been eating. This can be done in a couple of ways. One is to go on a fast, drinking only water. The other is through a simple juicing diet for several days. You will need a decent juicer, but you don’t have to spend over about one hundred dollars to get a decent one. Some serious people who juice all of the time can spend hundreds on a high end juicer, but I don’t think that is necessary. We didn’t and had good results.
You juice only three foods: celery, cabbage, and carrots. You can juice individually or in any combination of the three. I know you are probably wondering, “Why those three?” Those three foods seem to have no ill effects on most people, and you can juice for several days with no ill effects. How long you juice depends on you and your body. I would recommend no less than three days, and five or six would be better. Part of it depends on how much “bad” foods remain in your body and how long it takes to get rid of them. Many people should start to see results during this juicing period. If you start feeling better, you can almost be sure that food sensitivities are the problem. You may actually feel worse for a short time as your body is eliminating the harmful foods, but don’t get discouraged. As your body is cleansed from the harmful foods that you have been eating, the healing begins.
